History

Our founder

A passion for plants…

In 1964, Noël Willaert founded a modest vegetable nursery in the Zilverbergstraat in Roeselare. He quickly focused on the growing of plants. In the beginning of the 80’s, Noël switched definitely to a professional tree nursery. By opening a trade nursery including a cash & carry, he started a totally new concept. This was reserved for professional customers only.

In October 2010, our company suddenly had to say goodbye to its founder. Noël Willaert unfortunately died when practicing his hobby, horse training. As a passionate man he managed to inspire his employees. It is also thanks to him that his daughter and son-in-law, Els Willaert and Rudy Vannevel, together with their team, can further expand his life’s work.
