Improve and innovate
Our general managers, Rudy Vannevel and Els Willaert, have been responsible for the daily leadership of Willaert since 1999. Their main goal is to keep the company growing and make a priority of continuous innovation. Through the years, Willaert has been specializing in a large assortment of high-quality garden plants. A process in which exclusivity and an eye for new market trends are constantly held high on the list of priorities.
This continuous pursuit of innovation has paid off. Today, Willaert can be considered as one of Europe’s leading tree nurseries, equipped with a large cash & carry department. A success story that also provides job opportunities for about 90 employees.
“We market everything that grows and flowers in the garden. With more than 30 years of knowledge and experience, we offer more than 5,000 varieties. Being in service of the whole garden sector, that’s our main incentive.”
Thanks to a perfectly planned out logistical process, Willaert can accommodate its activities in a few strong departments: landscaping, garden center and cash & carry – each department focuses on the particular needs and requirements – forming the core of Willaert. Moreover public administrators constitute an important part of our portfolio.
Logistical usability is translated into…
- A large choice of more than 3,000 varieties, carefully organized alphabetically, from perennials to large trees.
- A cash & carry department where you can use an electric cart to easily explore the site of 12 hectares.
- Events like our trolley days, where you can see our efficient stock management. In a few hours, the customer can make a complete selection of the presented trolleys to be delivered afterwards.
The present and the future.
Future-oriented thinking and durability represent the main focus for Willaert Tree Nursery. Thanks to that, Willaert obtained its MPS label in 2010. An award for sustainable entrepreneurship, which is focalized on quality control and efficiency towards customers and suppliers.
An eye for the future also requires attention for expansion. Today Willaert possesses a site of 12 hectares in Roeselare. In addition, a second division was opened in Opglabbeek in February 2009. Who knows what the future holds for beauty!
